180 homes closed in Oceanside in June, more than any other city in any month of this spring, and 17% more than June last year.

One hundred and eighty homes changed hands in Oceanside in a single month.
The median was $890,000 and Oceanside again closed at 100% of asking, the second month running. Time on market stretched to 16 days from 12 in May, and the share closing at or above list eased from 63.6% to 53.9%. That is what more choice looks like rather than what weakness looks like. Three months to June, Oceanside was 5.1% ahead of a year ago.

More competition on the market means the first two weeks matter more, not less. Oceanside sellers are still getting full asking price when the price is right. 22% cut first in June, up from 17% in May.
If you're thinking about buying
This is the month to point at when someone tells you there is nothing for sale. Oceanside had 180 closings and 314 homes active in early August. There is more to choose from here than anywhere else in North County.
