A family company since 1982
The Lund Team, Inc. is a family brokerage in North County San Diego. We work Carlsbad, Oceanside, Encinitas, Cardiff-by-the-Sea, Vista, and San Marcos.
We have been here since 1982. The work we are proudest of is still the closing, and the way clients are treated on the way there.

The people behind every move
Giving back is part of the family business. Since 1982, the Lund family has invested in North County people as much as North County property. A few stories we stand behind:

Carlton’s push to make Carlsbad known for kindness
It started with the Carlsbad sign. While working to restore and light it, founder Carlton Lund asked a bigger question: what if a whole city were known for kindness? In 2015 he launched the Kindness Meters: repurposed parking meters that collected charity donations instead of parking fees.
Meters went up around North County, from Agua Hedionda Lagoon’s “Kindness Korridor” to TipTop Meats and the Vista Civic Center. IPS Group donated the solar-powered units. Every dollar went to local charities including the Boys and Girls Clubs of Carlsbad, the Carlsbad Educational Foundation, and Agua Hedionda Lagoon. The meters are no longer in service. The campaign still stands as thousands of small gifts, and a model other cities noticed.
Every time someone puts a quarter in, that's an act of kindness. The person who gives gets as much as the person who receives.Carlton Lund, Co-Founder

Carlsbad honors Carlton and Sandy Lund
In 2007, the City of Carlsbad named founders Carlton and Sandy Lund Citizens of the Year for their ongoing community work. Family and team members joined them at City Council after the plaque was presented.
The program is one of Carlsbad’s oldest honors. For more than fifty years it has recognized residents who give time and energy to the city’s civic improvement and betterment.

Helping bring LEGOLAND to Carlsbad
The Lund Team was among the early supporters of bringing LEGOLAND to Carlsbad. Founders Carlton and Sandy Lund advocated for securing the site through a long campaign. The park opened March 20, 1999, and has drawn families to Carlsbad for more than 25 years.

Bringing the Carlsbad sign back to the Village
On January 8, 2015, Carlsbad lit a new sign over Highway 101 and Carlsbad Village Drive. Carlton Lund helped resurrect it, inspired by the original that hung nearby in the 1920s. As a Carlsbad Chamber of Commerce board member, he urged the Chamber to take up the project in 2014. The finished sign marked 90 years of Chamber service.
To avoid public funds, Carlton secured a $225,000 donation from TaylorMade Golf, plus support from IPS Group through the Kindness Meters campaign.
Carlsbad Desalination Plant
The plant opened December 14, 2015. The San Diego County Water Authority has called it “the nation's most technologically advanced and energy-efficient seawater desalination plant.” It provides an estimated 50 million gallons of water to North County using reverse osmosis. Carlton and Sandy Lund were early supporters of bringing the project to Carlsbad as a drought-resilient supply.
Carlsbad Educational Foundation
In May 2015, the Carlsbad Educational Foundation recognized Carlton and Sandy Lund at Carlsbad Day for $18,000 in gifts since their first contribution in 1997 to the “Kids are Worth a Million” campaign. That campaign later raised over $1 million for Carlsbad schools. Learn more about the Carlsbad Day recognition in our blog.
The Lund Team still supports the Foundation through donations (and previously through Kindness Meters promotions).
