For more than 30 years, the real estate professionals from The Lund Team have served Carlsbad and the North County area. As area business leaders and as long-time residents we believe for our community to thrive, it's essential to give back. Here are a few highlights from our efforts in recent months.
Carlsbad High School Mock Interviews
Since its inception during the school year of 1997-98, Carlton and Sandy Lund have been a part of the Carlsbad High School mock interviews program. This special, voluntary program currently has 163 members of the Junior class enrolled and gives students the opportunity to experience insight into the professional world.
More than a decade ago, Carlton Lund interviewed a young student named Jeff Pashby as part of the program. Pashby later applied for an internship with The Lund Team real estate firm. He worked as an intern for two years plus while studying at the University of California, Irvine. Today, Jeff Pashby has been with our family for 18 years and now works with the Carlsbad High School mock interviews program. He even created a scholarship for college-bound Carlsbad High School seniors who are in the program. Read more about this program in the article from The Coast News Group.
Carlsbad Appreciation Day at LEGOLAND
On April 25, 2015, the Carlsbad Educational Foundation recognized the Lund Team during the annual "Celebrate Carlsbad Day" at LEGOLAND. Since its first contribution in 1997 to the "Kids are Worth a Million" campaign for the Carlsbad School District, The Lund Team has contributed more than $1,000 annually to the foundation. The Carlsbad Educational Foundation supports a variety of programs within the Carlsbad school district including the arts, music, science, and after-care programs.
North County Kindness Meters
In a heartfelt letter, the Carlsbad Educational Foundation expressed their appreciation to The Lund Team in February 2016 for the real estate firm's ongoing efforts in the North County Kindness Meters program. Carlton and Sandy Lund were instrumental in installing Kindness Meters throughout North County, a program that allows our residents and others to contribute to organizations throughout the community. 100 percent of the donations collected are given back to the community. More than $1,000 was raised at the Kindness Meter designated for the Carlsbad Educational Foundation, which goes a long way to aid the efforts of this wonderful organization. The Lund Team has been an active community supporter and North County San Diego real estate firm since 1982. Carlton and Sandy Lund as well as our other Lund Team members have and continue to serve our community through volunteerism and serving on various boards, including the Carlsbad Chamber of Commerce.
