Summer may be winding down but the music scene is heating up! For the next few months, there are several music venues around northern San Diego that offer a great lineup. No matter what is on your play list, there is plenty for everyone. From rock to country and indie; there's a concert for every taste.

Adventurous Music by the Beach

The Carlsbad Music Festival starts Friday, August 25 and runs through the 27th. Expect a long list of acts from both the ticketed and free stages. Enjoy bands such as Julia Holter, Jonathan Morgan, and Daniel Pate and free bands such as the Midnight Pine, G Burns Jug Band, Clint Davis and the Night Doctors.

Celtic Folk and Rock Music Amid the Vikings

The Viking Festival kicks off on September 23 and runs through the 24 in Vista. This is a heritage event so expect costumes, ethnic food and drink, competitions and, or course, Vikings.

Music For the Revolution

On October 8th, grab a lawn chair and head to Temecula for a concert on the golf course. This event benefits the Fallbrook Food Pantry and environmental causes surrounding San Onofre beaches.

Oceanside Music Festival

The Oceanside Cultural Arts Foundation puts on events year-round. This October 10th, they are hosting Blue Monday which features Jazz and Blues. This is an amazing venue as the festival pairs local professional talent with up-and-coming students. This is not only an outstanding community event; its proceeds go towards funding scholarships.

Music Through the Decades

The SoCal Music Association is hosting a gala event on October 13th with music from the 60's, 70's and 80's. Proceeds will go toward music programs for children with autism.

North County has a lot of musical muscle. There are major events happening every month and most mix local talent with national professionals. Buy your tickets now and get ready for some great music!
