We've had a tremendous year in North County average price points overall this year have been up as much in some metrics as up as eight and a half or nine percent year over year in the peak part of spring. We're in a time period, typically, where there's fewer properties being listed and put on the market. Homeowners are hunkering in for the holidays and spending time with family and that's a wonderful thing.
Homeowners looking to potentially sell in the New Year are making their plans. You can do wonders by preparing for that. And what does that mean? That means doing the Honey Do list, preparing your home for sale. Even making plans of where you're going to go are very, very important. That's something we're doing with a number of clients, preparing them to list in the New Year.
Homebuyers, if you're thinking about potentially buying a home next year, get prequalified now, and better understand what your tax ramifications are for the calendar year 2017 and 2018. Get prequalified.
There are some wonderful deals that come available in the spring coming out of the winter, and it's a really great buying opportunity to really get a home for the next year. And homebuyers, if you're better prepared with your finances, you're going to have much better success when you go look for a property.
