April 25, 2015 was the annual “Celebrate Carlsbad Day” at LEGOLAND with special ticket prices, performances from around the community, and a few recognitions of organizations that help to make Carlsbad the wonderful city that it is. The Lund Team was proud to be one of those organizations recognized by the Carlsbad Education Foundation.

Beginning in 1997, The Lund Team made the first contribution to the “Kids are Worth a Million” campaign that went on to raise $1 Million for the Carlsbad School District. Since that initial donation, The Lund Team has contributed over $1,000 each year to the foundation that supports music, arts, sciences, and after care programs in Carlsbad Schools.

“Slow and steady wins the race when it comes to education. There are needs everyday for private funding of computers and communication facilities within our schools system that are not covered by the school district funding,” says Carlton. “We have learned in our 32 years in real estate that great schools create a stable and strong housing market.”

The Lund Team has been a North County San Diego real estate company since 1982. Throughout the years, the Lund family has been an integral part of the community, serving on various boards such as the Carlsbad Educational Foundation and Carlsbad Chamber of Commerce, and were named Carlsbad’s Citizen’s of the Year in 2007. Most recently, Carlton Lund was the driving force behind resurrecting the historic Carlsbad City sign in downtown Carlsbad across Historic Highway 101.
