As Southern Californians, we all know about the so-called “sunshine tax,” so why not get out and maximize the natural beauty of North County San Diego?  Encinitas is just one of many of our gorgeous communities that boasts exquisite views and warm sunshine perfect for a nice stroll. Here are a few of our favorite Encinitas walks.

1. The San Elijo Lagoon Encinitas Walking Trails San Elijo Lagoon

This ecological reserve is just east of the 101 and spreads out towards Rancho Santa Fe over 1,000 acres.  The lagoon supports over 400 species of plants, 300 species of birds, and many other types of wildlife including fish, reptiles, and mammals. There are 8 different walking trails to choose from ranging from easy to moderate, so there is sure to be a trail to fit your comfort…
