Carlton & Sandy - 101 Diner in Encinitas

Carlton and Sandy give their thumbs up to the 101 Diner in Encinitas and 151 reviews on TripAdvisor rate the restaurant excellent or very good. The eggs Benedict receive particular praise as does the Greek omelet. The sauce and consistency of the egg are bright spots on 101's egg Benedict dish, and the Greek omelet has tomatoes, garlic, spinach, mushrooms, olives, jack, cheddar and feta cheese for a yummy take on a classic salad.

Will - La Papagayo

Will can't stop talking about La Papagayo, which has a great vibe, is small and personal with great service and offers original Latin American food and live music on Saturdays. One local favorite that doesn't break the bank the Loco Moco, a coconut sticky rice smothered in a Mushroom Beef Gravy, a 7-ounce Beef Patty, 2 organic eggs, grilled Teriyaki pineapple and secret sauces.

Karlie - The Lanai

Karlie looks the tropical food and atmosphere The Lanai restaurant. This Hawaiian oasis offers vegetarian choices like the Veggie Bahn Mi with jalapeno, roasted beet, pickled ginger slaw, cucumber and pickled carrot. The burgers here are impressive and no one leaves hunger.

This charming eatery is pet-friendly and has wonderfully quirky menu names, such as the Twisted Elvis. If you belong to Open Table, you'll be happy to note that 101 is a member.

Just to be clear, clothing is not optional, so Naked Cafe diners get no unexpected surprises in this warm eatery with a relaxing setting and diverse menu. Zomato reviewers love that the menu is healthy and not loaded down with salt and free. Try the ginger tomato soup with a yummy comfort food with a kick.
